The pasted-on device supplies the anime setting, while the cat’s wide eyes and open mouth supply the enormous reaction. No extra setup is necessary: the viewer recognizes a measurement that has become too alarming for its operator.

Replacing “nine” with “nyan” merges the shouted power-level line with the rainbow cat’s name. The cat at the end of the beam makes the wordplay visible. This is crossover fan art, not a frame from Dragon Ball or a playable Nyan Cat animation.

A Guns & Bullets magazine image labelled as a Doom Eternal Easter egg advertises “THE BFG 10,000” and “THE BFG 10K IS FINALLY HERE AND YES, IT’S OVER 9,000.”

Finally, a number that actually clears the threshold

The blurb treats the old shout like sales copy for an absurd fictional weapon. Here the arithmetic is intentionally unremarkable: ten thousand really does exceed nine thousand. Recognition of the borrowed phrase does the comic work. The archive identifies this as game imagery; it is a static preview, not an independently captured gameplay recording.

Archive labels this as Doom: Eternal imagery; uploaded by Evilthing on Know Your Meme.

About & sources

Vegeta’s shouted power-level reading becomes an exaggerated way to say that a quantity is enormous.

Date

Dragon Ball Z English-dub scene; Kajetokun internet edit uploaded October 17, 2006.

History

The selected year marks the 2006 internet edit, not the creation of the earlier television scene. Know Your Meme traces the edit to Kajetokun and describes subsequent remixes and image macros. Its quoted creator interview describes an inside joke that spread beyond friends. This captioned representative still does not preserve Brian Drummond’s vocal delivery or the edit’s timing; it is not a playable video archive.
