About & sources

A tiny restaurant-advertising dance escapes its anime scene into loops, reenactments and musical remixes.

Date

Macross Frontier restaurant jingle; selected December 2007 loop is a documented online checkpoint, not a claim to the first remix.

History

Know Your Meme documents a December 25, 2007 ten-minute loop and a December 30 upload of the dance from Macross Frontier. This exhibit selects that early circulation year rather than claiming a definitive first meme. Its chronology places Nyanroll bait-and-switch edits and further remixes in January 2008. The scene features Ranka Lee demonstrating the Nyan Nyan restaurant jingle to Alto Saotome. Repetition turns the short performance into a reusable musical unit. This representative still is not a playable dance, song or complete animation. Anime imagery and music rights remain with their respective holders; public reuse rights are not established. Private research preview only; no affiliation or endorsement.
