The Sun Stone’s name becomes a crossover recipe. Instead of an ordinary evolution, the result is an enthusiastically sun-worshipping Pokémon. The pun links the item, the salute and the Sunbro nickname; this is fan fiction, not a real game evolution.

The title was already waiting for the catchphrase. Adding the helmet lets a tiny visual alteration turn a whole tarot card into a Dark Souls reference. The joke does not require a new prophecy: just one very predictable worshipper.

About & sources

A sun-seeking knight and his cheerful language of cooperation become a reusable gaming-community greeting and fan-art motif.

Dark Souls (2011); selected 2012 fan-page circulation, not a proven first meme.

History

Solaire of Astora is a character in the 2011 game Dark Souls. Know Your Meme describes a fan following around his personality and the phrases “praise the sun” and “jolly cooperation.” Its chronology records the WarriorOfSunlight Facebook page launching on August 8, 2012, with an image captioned “If only I could be so incandescent,” and also documents Tumblr tags and later fan artwork. This exhibit selects that documented 2012 circulation point: it does not date the character’s creation to 2012 or establish the first use of the meme. “Jolly cooperation” comes from Solaire’s dialogue about summoning one another; fans use “sunbros” for members of the Warriors of Sunlight covenant. The interesting shift is from a character’s in-world enthusiasm to a shared vocabulary for friendly play and belonging. Representative character preview only, not playable preservation of Dark Souls. Game imagery, fan derivatives and trademarks remain uncleared for public reuse; private research preview only, without affiliation or endorsement.
