About & sources

A skeptical glance becomes a reaction to almost anything.

Date

September 12, 2013 family YouTube video; Tumblr remixes followed. Childhood footage: later participation does not establish consent to its original circulation.

History

Katie Clem filmed two-year-old Chloe and her older sister Lily reacting to a surprise Disneyland trip in Lily’s Disneyland Surprise....AGAIN! (September 12, 2013). Lily cried with excitement; Chloe’s sideways glance became a Tumblr reaction image. Katie told PEOPLE that someone else made the screenshot meme. In their 2025 interview, she said she had not sought her children’s agreement at the outset and later reduced family vlogging when they tired of it. Chloe said she did not regret the fame. Those later accounts do not turn the toddler’s expression into a statement of her wishes.
