A My Neighbor Totoro-style poster replaces Totoro’s face with Fox, adds That Aint Falcoro and repeats Where you at beside the umbrella.

The gentle umbrella scene collides with the wrong game character and a commentary catchphrase. Falcoro folds Falco into Totoro while showing Fox: even the poster is doing the wrong-bird joke. The peaceful setting makes the remembered yelling feel particularly out of place. A fan edit, not an official film cover.

About & sources

An exuberant reaction to a doubles combo becomes a reusable soundtrack for improbable teamwork and spectacular finishes.

Date

December 2008 Super Smash Bros. Melee tournament footage; distinct from the game’s earlier release.

History

Know Your Meme traces this clip to a December 6, 2008 Super Smash Bros. Melee doubles match at the SCSA West Coast Circuit tournament. SilentSpectre and Tang execute a coordinated combo against Zhu; excited commentary turns the play into a quotable performance of its own. The source reports a YouTube upload two days after the match and a December 9 dictionary submission, followed by a Pokémon audio remix in March 2009 and later examples using other games and even dodgeball. This exhibit selects the 2008 event and initial circulation, not the creation of Melee or a claim that all later teamwork slang began here. The distinctive mechanism is a reaction track detached from its original match: the commentary can make a completely different scene feel like an astonishing competitive finish. Representative gameplay still only: this is not playable preservation of the match or its essential audio. Recording, game imagery and trademarks remain uncleared for public reuse; private research preview only, with no affiliation or endorsement implied.
