Gandalf Sax

Gandalf Sax representative image
About & sources

Gandalf smiles and nods in time with a saxophone hook: a brief film moment becomes a loop, a multi-screen joke and an endurance-length remix.

Date

2012 YouTube loop combining Gandalf nodding with Epic Sax Guy music.

History

The selected 2012 is the documented remix-upload year, not the release date of the Lord of the Rings film footage or the earlier Epic Sax Guy performance. Know Your Meme credits YouTuber tejulaify with a September 5, 2012 upload and identifies a December 1 HD upload by Ukes of Hazzard. Those uploader/date details are the retrospective’s account, not independently authenticated first-upload evidence here. It documents multi-screen parodies in 2015–2016 and a ten-hour version posted in 2017; the long version is a later extension, not the origin of the pairing. This representative Gandalf still does not preserve the moving loop, film or audio as playable media. Film, performance and recording rights remain with their respective holders; this private preview does not establish permission for public reuse.
